Innovation will be stifled right across the clean energy sector if the Australian Parliament supports legislation to remove future grant funding available from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), according to a briefing paper released today by the Clean Energy Council.

Sungrow, the world’s largest PV inverter manufacturer, announces the successful connection to the grid of a 4MW project in extremely harsh conditions. The project uses Sungrow’s SG60KTL string inverter and is located in the Ukraine.
Japan’s First Floating Solar System with Microinverters Installed on an Irrigation Reservoir

On a farming reservoir in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka prefecture, 1,200 photovoltaic (PV) modules cover the water surface to generate electricity and additional revenues for the city. Many floating solar systems have been developed in Japan, but this 300-kW system, which became operational this July, is a bit different. This is the nation’s first floating solar system equipped with microinverters.
Chinese module suppliers increase share in Indian market to 75%

Despite most international and domestic module suppliers increasing their sales volumes in India over the last year, Chinese firms have significantly increased their share of the market from 50% to 75%, according to the latest update from consultancy firm Bridge to India.
